Youres Shade

Mr. Youres Shade was born April 24, 1926 to the union of the late Fannie Withrow and James Clarence Shade. He was one of fourteen children born to this union.
He entered the United States Marine Corps in Raleigh, NC and served two years. He was Honorably discharged May of 1946 as a Private First Class.
He moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1947 and worked at Chrysler Corporation for 34 years.
After the death of his wife Lucille Shade, he moved back to North Carolina to live with his sister Edna Herring and her husband Bruce in 2006, until he passed September 13, 2012.
He was a member of the Burns Avenue Seventh Day Adventist Church in Detroit for over 60 years and served as Head Deacon.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving sister Edna Herring and her husband Bruce; three sons, Leonard of New Jersey, Dwayne of Florida, and Christopher of Detroit; two daughters, Dorothy and Gladys of North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A family directed Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Christ The King Church, 1311 South Lafayette Street, Shelby. Pastor Marvin McClean will officiate.
