Wilma Jones, 90

Wilma Poole Jones, 90, of Ellenboro, died Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

She was the daughter of the late Jimmy and Lima Beaver Poole. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 siblings, J.F. Poole, H.S. Poole, and Harold Poole. Wilma was a member of Walls Baptist Church, where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher. She loved sewing, cooking and quilting. 

She is survived by the love of her life for 67 years, her husband Bob Jones; her daughters, Yvonne Padgett and her husband John, of Bostic, and Kimberly Cathcart and her husband Thomas, of Spindale; her sisters, Lillian Toney of Ellenboro and Janet Honeycutt and her husband Keith, of Mooresboro; her brothers, Sonny Poole and his wife Lois, and Donald Poole, all of Ellenboro; there are 4 grandchildren, Aaron Vickers and his wife Summer, Lindsey Cash and her husband Jonathon, Ashlyn Vickers and boyfriend Andrew Fisher, Brittney Cathcart and boyfriend Chris Cantrell; there are 2 great grandchildren, Eli Cash and Caroline Vickers; as well as 3 bonus grandchildren, 9 bonus great grandchildren, and 1 bonus great great grandchild. 

The Funeral will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Walls Baptist Church. The Rev. Jerry Causby and Rev. Bruce Caldwell will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Danny Wells, Johnathon Cash, Tim Jones, Andrew Fisher, Doyle Hollifield, and Norris Hoyle. 

The Visitation will be from 6 pm until 8 pm Saturday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
