William Talmadge "Bill" Curtis, 91

William Talmadge "Bill" Curtis, 91, of Ellenboro, died Friday, December 22, 2023.

He was the widower of Carolyn Terry Curtis, who died in November. He was the son of the late Talmadge and Mary McGinnis Curtis.  Bill was also preceded in death by his brothers, Buren Curtis and Glenn Curtis. He worked many years in maintenance at General Fireproofing, and retired from Fast Food Merchandisers. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and volunteered at South Mountain Christian Camp, and helped several churches, including the Christian Worship Center, Grace Chapel, and Temple Baptist Church.  

He is survived by his daughters, Billie Curtis Herring and Cindy Curtis Hutchins and her husband Roger, all of Ellenboro.

The Funeral will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, December 29, 2023 at Corinth Baptist Church. Rev. Ricky Poteat and Rev. Paul Lane will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Richard Terry, Scott Campbell, Ronnie Curtis and Jeff Curtis. 

The Visitation will be from 6 pm until 8 pm Thursday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
