Wayne Gettys, 71

Mr. David Wayne Gettys, 71, of Bostic, died Sunday, August 12, 2018.
He was the son of the late J.O. Gettys and Florence Rollins Gettys. Wayne was a member of Sunshine United Methodist Church and was a US Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Maloney Gettys; his daughter Beth Gettys; and future son-in-law, Gregory Chase.
The Funeral will be conducted at 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Sunshine United Methodist Church. The Rev. Keys Pendleton will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Rites rendered by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Pallbearers are Billy McFarland, Chad McFarland, Johnny Maloney, Jerry Vaughn, Larry Pope, and Charles Gettys.
The Visitation will be from 6 pm until 8 pm Tuesday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service.
