Wanda Rose Strassenburg, 85

Wanda Rose Strassenburg, 85, of Ellenboro, died Tuesday, March 21, 2023.

She was the daughter of the late Carl and Ella Mae Bennett Warner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Long. Wanda retired from Fayetteville Technical Community College after many years in the Student Development Office and the Career Center. After retiring from the college, she was the owner and operator Celebrating Gardens in Fayetteville. After moving to Rutherford County, she and Cliff were devoted members of Cane Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Cliff Strassenburg; her sons, Cabin Long of Wilmington, and Walter Long of Corpus Christi, TX; and her sister, Carlene Hill of Rockingham; there are 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

The Funeral will be conducted at 2:00 pm Friday, March 24, 2023 at Cane Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Danny Camp will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The Visitation will be from 1:00pm until 1:45 pm Friday at the church prior to the service.
