Vanceboro, NC – Vennie Lola Ramsey, 94, died Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Pruitt Health Care of New Bern, NC.
She was a 20 year resident of Vanceboro, and was a member of Walls Baptist Church in Bostic.
Vennie is survived by her son, Wilbur “Gene†Ramsey of Vanceboro; two grandsons, Ricky Ramsey and wife , Marsha of Caroleen, and Jamie Ramsey and wife, Crystal of Ellenboro; three great grandchildren, Victoria Guffey, Brianna Ramsey and Caitlin Ramsey; and a very special friend and caregiver, Gail Eason of Vanceboro.
A Graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Hopewell Community Cemetery in Ellenboro with Rev. David Philbeck officiating. Pallbearers are Ophus Hunt, Pearlie Bowman, Alan Cook, John Cook, Dean Dyer and Wyman Nalley.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service and at other times at the home of her nephew, Britt Philbeck in Bostic.
