Thomas Albert Carter, 75
Mr. Thomas Albert Carter, 75, of Bostic, died Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Oak Grove Health Care Center.
Thomas was the son of the late Hasten and Delores Wright Carter, and was also preceded in death by a brother, James "Smiley" Carter. Thomas was a dedicated member of Walls Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon, a Sunday School Teacher, and was a former choir director.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Poteat Carter; his son, Mark Carter and wife Lisa, of Bostic; his sister, Mattie Green of Bostic; his brother, Joe Carter and wife Jean, of Cliffside; there are 2 grandchildren, Blake and Jenna Carter.
The Funeral will be conducted at 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Walls Baptist Church. The Rev. David Philbeck and Rev. Kenneth Kanipe will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are John Carter, Wayne Carter, Rick Fenner, Eugene Dodson, Steve Greene, Daryl Simmons, Doyle Hollifield and Edgar Hollifield.
The Visitation will be from 6 pm until 8 pm Tuesday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service.
