Thad M. Causby Sr,, 83

Mr. Thad M. Causby Sr., 83, of Bostic, died Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Fair Haven Home, Bostic.
He was the son of the late Fons Causby and Mittie Philbeck Causby Swift. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters-in-law. Thad was a member of Piney Mountain Baptist Church and he retired from Stonecutter.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Joyce Gaultney Causby; his son, Thad Causby, Jr. and wife Dana of Rutherfordton; there are 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home. The Rev. Scott Butler and Rev. Brian Melton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Reid Gaultney, Jared Ruppe, Jody Morse, Nick Greene, Andrew Gaultney, and Nicholas Morse.
The Visitation will be from 6 pm until 8 pm Friday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service, at other times the family will gather at the residence of Ann Lovelace, at 316 Jack McKinney Road, Forest City, in the Harris Community.
