Rev. Terry Padgett

Rev. Terry Padgett, 63, of Ellenboro, died Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Atrium Health, Shelby.

His wife, Aurora Edith Padgett died on October 3, 2021. He was the son of the late Ellie Helen Padgett and James Taylor Padgett, and was also preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Padgett. Terry was a Baptist Minister for 25 years, and had served at Heaven Bound Baptist Church, and was currently serving as pastor at Piney Mountain Baptist Church. He was a US Army veteran.

He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Padgett Cook and her fiancee Jacob Mincey, of Kings Mountain, and Dawn Wishion and her husband Tommy, of Ellenboro; his son, James Padgett and Mary Anne Campfield of Ellenboro; his grandchildren, Morgan Padgett, Victoria Padgett, Madison Wishion and his fiancee Mackenzie Thompson, and Rocky Wishion; and his brother, Robert Padgett of Ellenboro.

A Memorial Service will be conducted for Terry and his wife Aurora Edith Padgett at 11 am Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Piney Mountain Baptist Church. The Rev. Matt Mills will officiate. The Rutherford County Honor Guard will provide Military Rites on the grounds of the church for Terry following the memorial service.
