Talley Sandefur

Mr. Talley Sandefur, 82, of Calton Road, Sunshine, died Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at his residence.
He was the son of the late Jack and Mamie Sandefur. He was retired from Spindale Mills/New Cherokee Coporation, and was a charter member of Ross Hill Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean war.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Toney Sandefur; his daughter, Wanda Young of Sunshine; a son, Ricky Sandefur and his wife Glenda of Middlesex, NC; two sisters, Lona Belle Redding of Spring Hill, FL, and Fannie Lowie of Cordele, GA;two brothers, Eugene Sandefur of Hallandale Beach, FL, and William Sandefur of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; five grandchildren, Chuck Jackson, Daniel Jackson, Timothy Ormand, Matthew Sandefur, and Brittany Pearson; there are ten great grandchildren, Justin Jackson, Megan Jackson, Anthony Jackson, Sierrah Jackson, Mikayla Brooks, Kelsea Jackson, Jasmine Doster, Talley "Crew" Jackson, Hunter Wood, and Zoe Sandefur.
The Funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Ross Hill Baptist Church. Rev. Earl Godfrey and Mr. Tripp Queen will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
The Visitation will be from 6 PM until 8 PM Friday at Ross Hill Baptist Church.
