Steve York, 51

Steve York, 51, of Ellenboro, died Tuesday, October 26, 2021.

He was the son of the late Wayne and Judy York. Steve was a 1988 graduate of East Rutherford High School and a graduate of UNC Charlotte. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Forest City where he was a Deacon, served on the finance committee and served as Youth Sunday School Teacher. He was a Certified Public Accountant and worked for Don Heath, CPA for 27 years, and Kim Spicer, CPA for 2 years.

He is survived by his wife, Missy York; his daughters, Grace York and Katie York, both of Cullowhee; and his uncle, Phil York of Ellenboro.

The Funeral will be conducted at 4:00 pm Saturday, October 30, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Forest City. The Rev. Dr. Garin Hill will officiate. Burial will follow in the Race Path Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Scott Shauf, Carl Lackey, Brad Joyner, Jonathan Pitman, Scott Canipe and Steve Chapman.

The Visitation will be from 4 pm until 7 pm Friday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
