Steve Barnette Lowery, 77
Steve Barnette Lowery, 77, of Bostic, died Monday, August 16, 2021.
He was the widower of Marie Lowery, and a son of the late Grover and Annie Lowery. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Lowery; and a sister, Annette Blanton. Steve was a US Army Vietnam veteran and a member of Golden Valley Missionary Methodist Church. He had retired from Eaton Corporation.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Bumgarner and her husband Michael, of Bostic; his sister, Pam Lowery of Shelby; his granddaughter, Nicole McDaniel and her husband Steven of Bostic; and his great granddaughter, Harper McDaniel.
The Funeral will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Golden Valley Missionary Methodist Church. The Rev. Lamar Hewitt, Rev. David Saldo, and Rev. Dennis Hurdt will officiate. The burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Rites rendered by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Pallbearers are Terry Saldo, Shawn Lowery, Trenton Dorsey, Gary Philbeck, Matthew Hurdt, and Phillip Hurdt.
The Visitation will be from 5 pm until 7 pm Wednesday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
