Russell Campbell

Mr. Russell Campbell, 81, of Pilgrim Road, Ellenboro, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at his residence.
He was the son of the late Lee and Mammie Hunt Campbell, and was also preceded in death by a grandson, Ben Appling; and siblings, James Campbell, Roy Campbell, Fred Campbell, Buren Campbell, Dee Campbell, Margaret Campbell, and Francis Campbell. Russell was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, and was retired from Sealtest Milk and AGI.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Toney Campbell; three daughters, Cindy Adair of Rutherfordton, Carol Wright and her husband David, of Bostic, and Candy Appling and her husband Kenneth, of Harris; two sisters, Pauline Daves of Lawndale, and Diane Coleman of Springfield, MO; two brothers, Charles Campbell of the Chase Community and William Campbell of Forest City; there are 6 grandchildren, Justin Appling, Jessica Appling, Nathan Adair, Courtney Adair, Katlin Wright, and Grayson Wright; and  2 great grandchildren, Malachi Simmons and Jocelyn Appling.  
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, May 9, 2014 at Corinth Baptist Church. Rev. Ad Hopper and Rev. Wayne Toney will officiate.
Following the Memorial Service, the family would like for friends to continue to celebrate Russell's life by visiting with them in the Family Life Center at Corinth Baptist Church until 5 pm.
