Roy Edmond Causby, 64, of Ellenboro, died Wednesday, March 24, 2021 peacefully in the arms of his family at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Roy was born on December 7, 1956, he was the son of Edith Toney Causby and the late Alfred E. Causby. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Troy Van Dyke; and 2 nephews, Jeremy Van Dyke and Anthony Van Dyke. He graduated from East High School and worked most of his life at Vickery Farm/Southern Shavings. He ended his career working as fleet manager at Utili-Serve.
He loved to spend time with family and friends, and had a passion for his church. He accepted Christ as his Savior at Walls Baptist Church, where he was a faithful member and preschool Sunday School teacher. He enjoyed helping others in need and there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for anyone. He touched many lives with his generosity and passion for life. Roy was happily married to Frankie who was his partner in life for 34 years.
He is survived by his wife, Frankie Causby; his 5 children, Robert Causby and wife Lindsey, Cody Causby and wife Melissa, Shane Harrison and wife Sarah, Kiyini Smith and husband Darin, Shannon Causby and husband Shane; his sister, Mary Ann Van Dyke; his brothers, David Causby and wife Diane, and Dennis Causby and his wife Karen; his grandchildren, Joey Grant, Makayla Suttle and husband Brandon, Mady Harrison, Dakota Harrison, Sadey Causby, Felicity Causby, Luke Causby, and Henry Strickland; there is one great grandchild, Colton Suttle.
The Funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Walls Baptist Church. The Rev. David Philbeck will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Active Pallbearers are Dale Causby, Jamie Turner, Clint Hendricks, Jery Beaver, Eve Mendoza, and Steve Hollars. Honorary Pallbearers are Zach Van Dyke, Zach Causby, Hunter Hendricks, and Jacob Hendricks.
The Visitation will be from 4 pm until 7 pm Saturday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
