Mrs. Robyn Ross Campbell, 65, of Golden Valley, died Sunday, September 29, 2019.
She was the daughter of the late Virgel and Mable Skinner Ross. She had been attending The Church of the Exceptional. Robyn had been elected to the board of directors for the NC Poetry Society, was a leader of the Winston-Salem Writer's Association in children's books, she was a leader of a children's poem critique group, and had recently authored "Miss Forgotten", her book "Kissed By An Angel", was dedicated to her son Christopher. Robyn tutored many young people in the community, taught art classes, and had many short stories and poems published. She had a deep love for her husband, her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Gene Campbell; her 6 sons, Randy Campbell and fiancée Carla, of Shelby, Patrick O'Donnell and wife Kara, of Marion, Kevin Campbell and wife Kayla, of Mooresboro, Shane O'Donnell and wife Gretchen, of Forest City, Christopher Campbell of Golden Valley, and Cameron Campbell and wife Charity, of Ruth; a daughter, Ivy O'Donnell of Golden Valley; her sister, Patricia Case of Hendersonville; and her grandchildren, Sidney Campbell, Benjamin Campbell, Nicholas Campbell, Reagan O'Donnell, Davin O'Donnell, Liam O'Donnell, Desmond Campbell, and Dax Campbell.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 5:00 pm Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe Ervin will officiate.
The Visitation will be from 3 pm to 5 pm Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
