Richard Arlan Wehrstein
Mr. Richard Arlan Wehrstein, 83, of Bostic, died Sunday, August 12, 2012.
He was the son of the late Manford and Adeline Wehrstein. Richard started his career at Armour & Company of Chicago, and retired as Plant Manager at Colorworks. He was a Korean Army Veteran and had been attending Maranatha Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Wehrstein; two sons, Richard Wehrstein Jr. and his wife Wanda, of Columbus, and Greg Scott Wehrstein of Miami, FL; a brother, Roger Lee Wehrstein and his wife Carol, of Counce, TN; two grandsons, Richard Wehrstein III and Aaron Joseph Wehrstein.
The Funeral will be held at 3 pm Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home. Rev. Frank Camp will officiate. At the conclusion of the chapel service, the Rutherford County Honor Guard will provide Military Rites on the grounds of the funeral home.
The Visitation will be from 11 am until 2 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
A Service will be held 2 pm Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the Western Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain. Rev. Dean Baughn will officiate.
