Randy Clark Ponton, Jr., 35

Randy Clark Ponton, Jr., 35, died Monday, June 5, 2023.

He is the son of Randy Ponton, Sr. and Sheila Murray Ponton of Bostic. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betsy Ponton; his grandparents, Harold and Joann Murray, and Homer and Carrie Lee Ponton; and an aunt, Lavonne Murray. Randy was working at Nelon-Cole Pest Control. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Canaan Ponton; a daughter, Layton Ponton; a sister, Leslie Harris and her husband John, of Summerville, SC; his nephews, Bentley Debruler and Jonah Harris, and nieces Loranna and Callie Harris, all of Summerville, SC; his aunt and uncle, Sheila and Jamie Cain, of Forest City; and uncle and aunt Donald and Kim Murray of Bostic; there are a number of cousins who survive.

The Funeral will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, June 9, 2023 at Walls Baptist Church. The Rev. Kenneth Linder will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Randy Ponton, Sr., Cory Hill, Mike Billingsley, Donald Murray, Jamie Cain, and Jarred Yelton. 

The Visitation will be from 5:30 pm until 8 pm Thursday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service.
