Philip Hugh Beattie, 81

Philip Hugh Beattie, 81, of Bostic, died Saturday, September 10, 2022.

He was the son of the late Enos and Clara Beattie, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Libby Martin. Hugh was a member of Walls Baptist Church. He worked for many years at Doran Textiles, and loved his golf, and was an avid Tarheel fan.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Beattie; his son, Brian Beattie and wife Jessica, of Mooresboro; his sister, Theresa Eaker of Boiling Springs, NC; and his brother, Jimmy Beattie of Boiling Springs, NC.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Walls Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Chad Sisk will officiate. Active pallbearers are Dean Dyer, Alan Dyer, Patrick Dyer, Ty Eaker, Joey Turrubiarte, and Wesley Putnam, Richard Dyer will serve as an honorary pallbearer.  

The Visitation will be from 12 pm until 1:45 pm Tuesday at Walls Baptist Church, prior to the graveside service.
