Peggy Carpenter

Mrs. Peggy Morgan Carpenter, 81, a resident of White Oak Manor, Rutherfordton, and formerly of Bostic, died Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
She was the widow of William B. Carpenter, was the daughter of Charles Morgan and Nannie Sue Bradley Morgan. She retired from Doncaster after 33 years of service, and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, member of the Golden Girls, and was active at the Rutherford County Senior Center.
She is survived by three daughters, Marcia Wilkins of Columbia, SC,  Lynn Davis and her husband Tommy, of Forest City, and Caroline Wood and her husband Gary, of Bostic; a son, Raymond Carpenter and his wife Kelly, of Ellenboro; two sisters, Jo Morgan Hardin and Mickey Morgan Sams, both of Forest City; a brother, Gene Morgan of Rutherfordton; there are 8 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be conducted at 5:00 pm Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Salem United Methodist Church. Rev. Tony Moreau will officiate. The burial will be private for the family at Salem UMC Cemetery.
The Visitation will follow the funeral service and will be held in the church fellowship hall until 7pm.
