Peggy Burns, 84

Peggy Burns, 84, of Ellenboro, died Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Fair Haven Home, Forest City.

She was the widow of James Burns, and a daughter of the late Lee and Ethel Pace. She was also preceded in death by her infant brother, Robert Lee Pace; and 2 sons-in-law, Steve Simpson and Skip Ullrich.

She is survived by her daughters, Laura Allen and her husband Larry, JoAnn Ullrich, and Mary Beaver and her husband Todd, all of Ellenboro; her 3 sisters, Mary Greene, Laura Sams and her husband Roger, all of Bostic, and Judy Pannell and her husband Gene, of Inman, SC; her grandchildren, Thomas Waters and his wife Megan, Lindsay Watson and Donna Ullrich, all of Ellenboro, Lacy Simpson and friend Kris of Wilmington, Nick Beaver and wife Jessica of Raleigh, Ritchie Allen and Sherri Allen of Forest City; there are several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home. The Rev. Keith Dixon will officiate. Burial will follow in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.

The Visitation will be from 5 pm until 7 pm Monday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
