Patricia Ann Cuneo, 81, of Bostic passed on Thursday, November 21, 2013.
Pat was born in Worksop, England to Florence and Fred Clarke.
She came to America in 1952 to join the circus working a group of 16 wild animals in the ring at one time and eventually making it into the Circus Hall of Fame. After retiring from the circus, Pat moved to Rutherford County in 1978 where she received her LPN degree from Isothermal Community College. She also worked as a veterinary assistant and eventually retired from Rutherford County Schools as an assistant. Pat was an accomplished author of fiction and poetry writing several books in both genres.
Pat leaves a son, Stefan and granddaughter Katherine, both of Florida; her sisters, Sherry, Sandra, Carole and Beauleh; her brothers, Lester and Adrian; and life partner Myra.
The family wishes to thank Hospice of Rutherford County for the wonderful care and concern shown to Patricia during her stay.
A private Memorial Service will be held by the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Community Pet Center, PO Box 623, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
