Nina Brooks Goforth, 83

Nina B. Goforth, 83, of Ellenboro, died Friday, July 19, 2024.

She was the daughter of the late T.R. and Eula Brooks, she was also preceded in death by a infant daughter, Crystal Lynne Goforth. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. Nina taught kindergarten for over 30 years. She was a 1958 graduate of Pleasant Gardens High School and a 1978 graduate of Mars Hill college. 

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Dr. Leonard Goforth; her son, Thomas L. Goforth and his wife Victoria of Nebo; her daughter, Autumn Lynne Wagner and her husband Curt, of Sparta, WI; her brothers, Don Brooks of Marion and Jimmy Brooks of Old Fort; her sister Debra Ann Davis of Thomasville, NC; there are 5 grandchildren, Connor Wagner, Patrick Wagner, Brandon Goforth, Braelyn Goforth, and Brianna Haithcock; and 3 great grandchildren, Liam Haithcock, Mia Haithcock, and Deacon Haithcock.

The Funeral will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Concord Baptist Church. The Rev. Travis Laflin will officiate. Burial will private for the family.

The Visitation will be from 9:45 am until 10:45 am Tuesday at the church prior to the service.
