Mrs. Pauline Brackett Van Dyke,83

Mrs. Pauline Brackett Van Dyke, 83, of Golden Valley, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, July 24, 2019.
She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Katie Brackett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 siblings, Alvin Brackett, Mozelle Willis, Grady Brackett, and an infant baby brother. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Pauline will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, Maw Maw, Great Grandmaw and friend, and was loved by many nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful cook and welcomed many to her table. She loved her babies, shopping and reading her bible.
She is survived by her husband, Hubert Van Dyke; her son, David Van Dyke and wife Belinda, of Golden Valley; her daughter, Carol Van Dyke of Golden Valley; her brother, Rev. R. A. Brackett of Casar; 2 grandchildren, Trey Van Dyke and fiancee Maddie, of Golden Valley, and Noah Van Dyke and fiancée Courtney, of Rutherfordton; 4 honorary grandchildren, Jon Hoppes and wife Haley, Tyler Hoppes and wife Avery, Shay Hoppes, and Harley Hoppes; 2 great grandchildren, Graylen Van Dyke and Easton Van Dyke; and 8 honorary great grandchildren, Ava, Brantley, Olivia, Mackynzie, Auburn, Ella, Boone, and Lawson Hoppes.
The Funeral will be conducted at 4:00 pm Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Fairview Baptist Church. The Rev. David Ledford will officiate, and  Belinda Van Dyke and Jerry Leonard will provide a Eulogy. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Trey Van Dyke, Noah Van Dyke, Tyler Hoppes, Jon Hoppes, Craig Hoppes, and Bryson Smith.
The Visitation will be from 6 pm until 8 pm Saturday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
