Misty Dawn Melton, 41

Miss Misty Dawn Melton, 41, of Ellenboro, died Friday, May 25, 2018.
Misty was the daughter of Wayne Melton, Sr. of Ellenboro, and the late Yvonne Mace Melton. She was a faithful client of Rutherford Life Services, a member of Pleasant View Community Church; the Cheerful Voices Choir, the Aktion Club, the Sassy Sissies; helped to complete the fire drills with the children at the Learning Tree; and was a devoted Forest City Owls fan.  
In addition to her father, she is survived by her brother, Wayne Melton, Jr., of the home; her stepsister, Donna Harrill of Ellenboro; her aunts, Helen Ingle of Sandy Mush, Chris Epley of the Chase Community, and Diane Penson of Bostic; her uncle, Michael Melton of Bostic; and her very special friends, Russell Harrill and Kaitlyn Byars; and a number of loving cousins.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Monday, May 28, 2018 at the Robertson Creek Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Danny McCain will officiate. Paige Rumbaugh and Michael Pruitt will sing. Pallbearers are Benson Freeman, Sonny Penson, Jacob Penson, Hiro Byars, Mark Ingle, and Michael Pruitt.
The Visitation will be from 4 pm until 6 pm Sunday afternoon at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service.
