Maude Lane

Mrs. Maude Hollifield Lane, 96, of Bostic, died Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Henderson Care Center, Forest City.
She was the widow of Kenneth G. Lane, and was the daughter of the late Gamba and Lula Hollifield. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert K. Lane. She was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Blue and her husband Danny; there are five grandchildren, Donna Blue, Lori Blue Upton and her husband Mark, Leta Lane Wellmen and her husband Perry, Tracy Lane Gugel and her husband Ron, and Kenny Lane and his wife Gen; there are ten great grandchildren, Nic Vahle, Lauren Vahle, Jordyn Upton, Mark Upton, Jr., Dana Wellmen Enzor, Matthew Wellmen, Jamie Gugel, Eran Gugel, Christan Upton Heffner, and Cara Upton; there are four great great grandchildren, Avah Renae Vahle, Ziggy Chastine, Ryleigh Upton, and Brantley Upton; there are two nieces, Doris Finger of Atlanta, and Ruth Reavis of Florida.
The Funeral will be conducted at 2:00 pm Friday, September 6, 2013 at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. Rev. David Hawkins, Rev. James Mackey, and Rev. Danny Blue will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The Visitation will be from 6 pm until 8 pm Thursday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service.
