Matthew Stilwell, 39

Matthew Stilwell, 39, of Henrietta, died Saturday, May 21, 2022.

Matthew was the son of Richard Stilwell of Cucumber, W. VA, and the late Carolyn Ball Stilwell. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Tara Stilwell; a son, Corey Stilwell of Bryson City; 4 stepsons, A.J. Coffey and James Coffey II, of Columbus, and Ephraim Coffey and Conway Coffey of Henrietta; a stepdaughter, Allenya Coffey of Henrietta; his sisters, Jen Hewitt of Bryson City, and Shelby Stilwell of Kings Mountain; his brothers, Richard Stilwell of Shelby, and Billy Stilwell of Kings Mountain. 

The Funeral Service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Tuesday, May 24,2022 at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home. The Rev. Sam Burleson will officiate. 

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Wednesday,May 25, 2022 at Laurel Branch Cemetery in Bryson City. The Rev. Dale Green will officiate. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Autism Society of North Carolina, 5121 Kingdom Way, Suite 100, Raleigh, NC 27607.
