Margie Smith Devine, 82
Margie Smith Devine, 82, died Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
She was the daughter of the late William and Dolly Dalton. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Buddy Ray Smith, and her second husband, George Washington Devine. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Anderson and her husband Drew of Rutherfordton; her sons, Michael Smith and Traci Byers, of Bostic, and Rickey Smith of Ellenboro; a sister, Janie Hoyle of Spindale; 3 brothers, A.D. Dalton of Flint, MI, Tommy Dalton of Ellenboro, and Clyde Dalton of Shiloh; she has 3 grandchildren, Mark Smith, Phillip Smith, and Gwen Winter; and 4 great grandchildren, Victoria Wiles, Noah Cudd, Luke Smith, and Killian Smith.
The Funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. The Rev. Scott Courtney will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Mark Smith, Archie West, Eugene Redshirt, Drew Anderson, Paul Rodriguez, and Scotty Griffin.
The Visitation will be from 2 pm until 3 pm Wednesday prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
