Margaret Biggerstaff Bartlett, 87

Margaret Biggerstaff Bartlett, age 87, of Bostic, died Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Fair Haven Home, Bostic. 

She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Winifred Early Biggerstaff, born October 2, 1935 in the Washburn Community of Rutherford County, NC. She worked many years for Skyland Textiles and retired from Doncaster Companies in Rutherfordton.

Margaret grew up on the Biggerstaff farm on Freewill Baptist Church Road in Bostic where the learned the love of God, family and community. The love of her life, Burgess G. Bartlett passed away in 1995 and they had no children. Margaret's children were her nieces and nephews and her children's Sunday School Class at Walls Baptist Church, which she taught for decades. Her home was filled with baby dolls, and she always had new toys tucked away for any new children who came along. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret is preceded in death by her twin sister, Mary Robbins; her sister Dorcas (Dot) Bridges; and her brothers C.D. Biggerstaff and John Biggerstaff; and nephew Mark Biggerstaff. Left to cherish her memory are nieces and nephews, Tony Robbins, Sonja Robbins Hooper, Gary Bridges, Grant Bridges, Freida Grant, Becky Ayers, Sandy Stephens, and Chris Biggerstaff. Plus, she has numerous  great and grand nieces and nephews. 

The Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Walls Baptist Church in Bostic. The Rev. David Philbeck and Rev. Jerry Causby will officiate and Tony Robbins will provide a Eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Special music will be provided by Jennifer Wall, Grant Bridges and Ed Stalvey. Pallbearers are Dale Hill, Max Robbins, Patrick Harrell, Patrick Bridges, Jordan Bridges, and Jonathan Bridges. 

Visitation will be from 1 pm until 2 pm Wednesday at the church prior to the service.
