Margarethe Farkas Bridges, 90

Mrs. Margarethe Farkas Bridges, 90, of Spindale, died Friday, September 20, 2019 at White Oak Manor, Rutherfordton.
She was the widow of Romey Forest Bridges, Sr., and a daughter of the late Paul and Rosa Pammer Farkas. Margarethe was also preceded in death by an infant son, Michael David Bridges. She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Margit Blalock of Spindale; her 3 sons, Romey Forest Bridges, Jr. and wife Suzanne, of Winston-Salem, Paul Bridges and wife Teresa of Kernersville, and Ray Allen Bridges of Winston-Salem; her sister, Henrietta Trzil of Vienna, Austria; her brother, Herbert Farkas of Vienna, Austria; 6 grandchildren, Christopher Paul Bridges, Aaron Matthew Bridges, Callie Bridges Smith, Claire Bridges Slade, Elizabeth Bridges Blalock, and Paul Allen Bridges; and 8 great grandchildren, Rex Alexander Bridges, Eli Finley Bridges, Lia Katherine Bridges, Abigail Hope Slade, Anita Lucille Slade, William Forest Slade, Collin Thomas McGuire and Izaac Richard McGuire.
The Funeral will be conducted at 4:00 pm Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Crestview Baptist Church Chapel. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Kevin Rohm will officiate. Burial will follow in the Walls Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Christopher Bridges, Aaron Bridges, Rex Bridges, Paul Allen Bridges, Brent Slade, and Lee Smith.
