Margaret Hollifield

Mrs. Margaret Sane Hollifield, 87, of Bostic, died Monday, March 2, 2015 at Hospice House, Forest City.
She was the daughter of the late Fonzy B. and Minnie Smith Sane, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Beth Henson and Pearl Wall; and four brothers, Bill Sane, Mack Sane, Luke Sane, and John Sane. Margaret was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church where she was very active in the children's department over the years. She was retired from Tultex Corporation.
She is survived by her husband, Hugh Hollifield; and her two sons, David Hollifield and Terry Hollifield, of the home; there are 3 sisters, Blanche Ruff of Forest City, Jo Padgett of Asheville, and Jack Davis of Lexington.
The Funeral will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. The Rev. David Hawkins will officiate, and Dwight Hollifield will provide a Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Sunshine United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Tim Padgett, Mike Davis, Doyle Hollifield, Andy Hollifield, Roger Hollifield, and Richard Carpenter.
The Visitation will be from 5 pm until 7 pm Wednesday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service.
