Mrs. Margaret Louise Melton Allen, 92, of Tiney Road, Ellenboro, died Monday, July 25, 2011.
She was the widow of M.G. Allen, and daughter of the late Burton Cicero Melton and Zillie Jane Jones Melton. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Jean Allen; a son, Robert Lawrence Allen, Sr.; a grandson, Timothy Allen Taylor; and sisters, Ethel M. Brooks, Novella M. Padgett, Minnie M. White; and brothers, Olin G. Melton, Berry E. Melton, George M. Melton, Naam C. Melton, Warren G. Melton, and Ralph E. Melton.  She was a charter member of Corinth Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Allen Stockton and her husband Joe, of Ellenboro; a son, Larry G. Allen and his friend Laura Simpson, of Ellenboro; a daughter in law, Mary Reynolds Allen of Ellenboro; grandchildren, Robert Lawrence Allen, Jr, David Milton Allen, Renee Allen Mizukami, Kellie Taylor Fender, John Eric Taylor, Sherri Lynn Allen, and Ritchie Scott Allen; ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
The Funeral will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Corinth Baptist Church. Rev. David Jendrey and Rev. Ad Hopper will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The Visitation will be from 1:45 PM until 2:45 PM Wednesday in the church prior to the service, and at other times the family will gather at the residence of Dianne Stockton at 1718 Oak Grove Church Road, Ellenboro.
Memorials may be made to Corinth Baptist Church, 767 Pinehurst Road, Ellenboro, NC 28040.
