Maisie Nations King, 85

Maisie Nations King, 85, of Bostic, died Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

She was the widow of Joel Edison King, Jr., and a daughter of the late Willard and Esther Nations. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Reba, Buford, Vernon, Wilma, Hubert, Dean and Dwight. She was born in Ravensford, NC in the Great Smoky Mountains. Maisie was a member of Cherry Mountain Baptist Church. 

She is survived by her son, Vernon King and his wife Connie; her daughter, Theresa Mott and her husband Joe, all of Bostic; her grandchildren, Kelly, Houston, Amanda and Ethan King, and Joseph Mott and his fiancee Morgan Thomas; there are 3 great grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Burma Nations, Cleo Bales, Karen Phelps, Norma Jean Nations, and Polly Nations. 

A Visitation will be held from 4 pm until 6 pm Friday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home in Bostic.

A Visitation will be held from 1 pm until 2 pm Saturday at Crisp Funeral Home in Bryson City.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:15 pm Saturday at Lauada Cemetery in Bryson City.
