Leonard Eugene "Gene" Mott, 75

Mr. Leonard Eugene "Gene" Mott, 75, of Bostic, died Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
He was the son of the late Leonard and Velma Mott, in addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Breanna Elizabeth Hudgins. Gene was a member of Cooper Springs Congregational Holiness Church. He was the longtime service manager at Earley's Dodge and retired from Bridges Auto Parts.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Yelton Mott; his daughter, Karen Hudgins and husband Dale, of Bostic; his 3 brothers, Steve Mott of Forest City, Carroll Mott of Caroleen, and Billy Joe Mott of Bostic; and his 2 grandchildren, Nicholas Hudgins and Brooke Hudgins.
The Funeral will be conducted at 4:00 pm Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Cooper Springs Congregational Holiness Church. The Rev. Monty Monteith, Rev. Leon Brown, and Rev. Chad Sisk  will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Bill Mott, Joseph Mott, Nick Hudgins, Noah Hudgins, Conway Smith, and Gilbert Ramsey.
The Visitation will be from 2 pm until 3:45 pm Saturday at the church prior to the service.
