Mrs. Lauretta M. McElwain, 92, of Ellenboro, died Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Hospice House, Forest City of natural causes.
She was the widow of Marvin McElwain and was also preceded in death by a son, Charles A. McElwain. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Edith Lewis and was born in Pittsburgh, March 28, 1924.
She is survived by two daughters, Audrey Susan Bryant and her husband Gordon, of Tavares, FL, and Nancy Edith Forbes and her husband Richard, of Oviedo, FL; three sons, Paul Ben McElwain and his wife Jeannie of Clinton, WA, Timothy Marvin McElwain and his wife Judy of Fernandina Beach, FL, and David James McElwain of Hollis,NC; there are 12 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Big Springs Baptist Church. The Rev. Paul Scott will officiate. Interment of cremains will be at the National Cemetery of Florida, in Bushnell, FL.
The Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Saturday, October 15 at Big Springs Baptist Church prior to the service.
