Larry Penrose, 82

Laurence Delaney "Larry" Penrose, 82, of Bostic, died Saturday, January 20, 2024.

He was the son of the late Laurence and Doris Penrose. He was also preceded in death by his son, Joseph Penrose. Larry was the owner and operator of Bostic Machine Company, and was an avid runner - running his first race at age 73 and participating in many since then. 

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Penrose; his daughter, Tammy Penrose of Keokuk, IA; step son Michael Juarez and his wife Sara, of Burlington, NC; daughter-in-law Christine Penrose of Bostic; his grandchildren, Christy McClain of Keokuk, IA, Leanne Penrose of Cedar Rapids, IA, Angie Glasgow of Burlington, NC, Aaron Glasgow and is wife Kelsey of Forest City, Robbie Glasgow of Burlington, IA, Jeremy Penrose of Clinton, IA, Jarrett Penrose, Dacia Shearer, and Michael Shearer, all of Bostic; there are 15 great grandchildren.

No services will be held.
