Larry Dean Philbeck, 67
Mr. Larry Dean Philbeck, 67, of Bostic, died Monday, March 16, 2020 at his residence.
He was the son of the late Archie and Frances Ledbetter Philbeck, and the widower of Barbara Annette Estep Philbeck. Larry was the owner of Oakland Auto Sales and Philbeck Enterprises. He was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church and enjoyed his daily breakfast meetings with the boys at Carolina Café.
He is survived by 5 daughters, Melissa Hooker and husband Tony, of Concord, Greta Harris and husband Jason, Skye Matthews and husband Wayne, and Amber Philbeck and Shane, all of Bostic, and Kendall Lowery and husband Tim, of Vale; his sister, Sheila Stone of Bostic; and his 3 brothers, Arnold Philbeck, Donald Philbeck, of Bostic, and Shannon Philbeck, of Shelby; there are 15 grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Steven Cooper will officiate.
Larry will lie in state from 2 pm until 7 pm Wednesday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home for those who wish to come by and sign the register book.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Harmony Baptist Church, 5083 Bostic Sunshine Highway, Bostic, NC 28018.
