Kathleen "Kathy" Bumgarner, 66

Kathleen "Kathy" Bumgarner, 66, of Golden Valley, died Friday, December 15, 2023.

She was the daughter of Lula Mae Self Hudson of Georgia, and the late Buren Hudson. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother Earl Hudson, her sister Frances Hudson, and a daughter-in-law Brooke Bumgarner.  She was a member of Cherry Mountain Volunteer Fire Department and served on the Ladies Auxillary. 

She is survived by her husband, Donald Bumgarner; her sons, Donny Bumgarner(Terri Pangallo), Andy Bumgarner and his wife Jennifer, and Brad Bumgarner, all of Golden Valley; her sisters, Joyce Bumgarner of Golden Valley, Maxine Roberts of Georgia, and Clara Bumgarner of Rutherfordton; her brother, Claude Hudson of Georgia; her grandchildren, Austin, Raeanne, Christian, Annsley, Skylar, and Lawsyn Bumgarner, all of Golden Valley; there are two great grandchildren, Brookley Goggins and Lennox Bumgarner of Golden Valley; and her mother-in-law  Eva Mae Bumgarner of Golden Valley. 

The Funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Golden Valley Missionary Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Danny Bumgarner and Rev. Tommy Cook will officiate. Pallbearers are Dennis Lovelace, Ronnie Bumgarner, Harold Bumgarner, Tim Culler, Andrew Smith, and David Crawford. Steve Smith and David Bumgarner will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. 

The Visitation will be from 6 pm until 8 pm Monday night at Golden Valley Missionary Methodist Church.
