Johnny Michael Fender, 67

Johnny Michael Fender, 67, of Ellenboro, died Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

He was the son of the late Dee Fender and Delores Champion. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and worked at Winn Dixie for 27 years and Food Lion for 22 years. 

He is survived by his wife, Kellie Fender; his children, Kristen Thornton and husband Roy of Shelby, Chad Fender and his wife Lindsay of Gastonia, Wesley White and his wife Kori of Bostic, Kristen Gillespie and her husband Zeke, and Hilary White, all of Ellenboro; his brothers, Tommy Fender and his wife Donna of Statesville, and Joey Fender of Missouri; his sisters, Sherry Daniel and her husband Michael of Forest City, and Stacy Watson of Cherokee; there are 14 grandchildren. 

The Funeral will be conducted at 2:00pm Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Corinth Baptist Church. The Rev. Mike Conner will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service. Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
