John Lee Pruett, 81

Mr. John Lee Pruett, 81, of Forest City, died Friday, August 23, 2019 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, Forest City.
He was the son of the late Grady Lee Pruett and Emma Alice Berryhill Pruett. He was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph Pruett, and a brother, James Thomas Pruett. John was a faithful member of Little White Country Church.
He was survived by his first love, Dorothy; and 8 brothers, Reidus Pruett of Chesnee, Donald Pruett of Boiling Springs, NC, Richard Pruett and wife Clara, and Wayne Pruett and wife Carolyn, all of Rutherfordton, Bryan Pruett and wife Melody of Mooresboro, Grady Pruett and wife Sharon of Forest City, Steve Pruett and wife Wendy of Shelby, and David Pruett and wife Stephanie of Monroe; his 5 sisters, Kaye Pruett Page and husband Steve, and Rita Strange, all of Shelby, Nancy Gilliam of Grover, Joyce Brooks and husband Hoyt of Earl, and Jeanette Strange of Spindale.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Little White Country Church. The Rev. Donald Dover will officiate.
The Visitation will be from 12: 45 pm until 1;45 pm Saturday at the church prior to the service.
