John Junior Chapman, 89

Mr. John Junior Chapman, 89, of Bostic, died Saturday, April 27, 2019.
He was the widower of Georgia Lee Cogdell Chapman, and a son of the late Charlie and Zillie Hudson Chapman, and was also preceded in death by 2 infant children, Bobby J. Chapman and Jerry Dean Chapman; his brothers, Durham Chapman, Buren Chapman, Fred Chapman and Russell Chapman; and a sister, Zettie Chapman Hunt. He retired from Parton Lumber Company after 45 years of service.
Survivors include his daughter, Jo Ann Maloney and husband Johnny, of Sunshine; his 2 sons, Harold Chapman  and Jimmy Chapman and wife Deb, all of Forest City; his sister, Lucy Wease of Casar; 5 grandchildren, Tracy Chapman, Lester Maloney, Bobby Maloney, Amanda Byers, and Leslie Langley; there are 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Sunshine United Methodist Church. The Rev. Keys Pendleton and Rev. Billy Cogdell will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Tracy Chapman, Lester Maloney, Bobby Maloney, Todd Maloney, Elliott Byers, and David Langley.
The Visitation will be from 6 pm until 8 pm Tuesday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service.
