Joe Hunter Toney

Mr. Joe Hunter  Toney, 89,  of Bostic, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Hospice House, Forest City.
He was the son of the late Arthur and Sarah Earley Toney. He was retired from Stonecutter Corporation and a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Joe was a WWII Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Vera Stringer Toney; a daughter, Sarah Laughter and her husband Arthur, of Bostic; a son, Billy Toney and his wife Mary Kate, of Bostic; two brothers, James Toney of Mooresboro, and George Toney of Gastonia; there are three grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
The Funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Mountain View Baptist Church. Rev. Jason Toney and Rev. Wayne Toney will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Rites provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
The Visitation will be from 12:45 pm until 1:45 pm Thursday at the church prior to the service. The body will lie in state during the visitation hour.
