Mr. James Richard "Rick" Cromer, 60, of 840 Goode's Grove Road, Mooresboro, died Monday, April 8, 2013 at Kings Mountain Hospice.
He was the son of James "Snook" and Betty Houser Cromer of Mooresboro. He was a cross country independent trucker, and an electrician for Kosa and Paragon, an ultralight pilot, enjoyed radio controlled airplanes, and was a motorcycle enthusiast.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Joy White Cromer; three daughters, Emily Cromer Macon and her husband Daniel, of Cliffside, Courtney Smith Phillips and her husband Bill, of Redington Shores, FL, and Amie Smith Love and her husband Gene, of Winston-Salem; a sister, Vicky Cromer Jones and her husband Davy, of Mooresboro; his grandchildren, Clara & Gabriel Love, Billy Phillips, Clayton Hollifield, and Adyline Macon; a niece, Lesly Jones Gibbon and her husband Andy, and great nephews Hudson and Jace Gibbon of Rutherfordton.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Cleveland County. Rev. Robert Hensley will officiate.
The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall, and at other times will gather at the residence at 840 Goode's Grove Road, Mooresboro.
