James "J.T." Pruett, 77

Mr. James "J.T." Pruett, 77, of Bostic, died Friday, September 8, 2017 at Hospice House, Forest City.
He was the son of the late Grady Lee Pruett and Emma A. Berryhill Pruett, he was also preceded in death by two daughters, Renee Morrow and Teresa Pruett.  J.T. was a member of Cherry Mountain Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Pruett; his son, Ray Pruett of Rutherfordton; his daughter, Rebecca Pruett of Shelby; 3 stepdaughters, Darlene Garcia of Bostic, Diana Smyer of Ellenboro, and Michelle O'Laughlin of Sunshine; his 5 sisters, Kay Page and Rita Strange, both of Shelby, Nancy Gilliam of Grover, Joyce Brook of Earl, and Jennette Pruett of Rutherfordton; his 9 brothers, John Pruett of Ruth, Richard Pruett and Wayne Pruett, both of Rutherfordton, Reidus Pruett of Chesnee, Barry Pruett and Donald Pruett, both of Boiling Springs, Grady Pruett of Forest City, Steve Pruett of New House,and David Pruett of Monroe; there are 22 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
The family is planning a Memorial Service for 6:00 pm Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Cherry Mountain Baptist Church. The Rev. Danny Black will officiate.
A Visitation will be held at the church from 5 pm until 6 pm at the church prior to the service.
