J .T. Doty, 96

Mr. J. T. Doty, 95, of Ellenboro, died Monday, February 6, 2017 at Fair Haven Home, Bostic.
He was the widower of Pattie Lee Doty, and was a son of the late Fred H. Doty and Estelle Butler Doty, he was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Doty. J.T. had served as a Deacon at Drury Dobbins Baptist Church and was a WWII Army veteran.  
He is survived by 2 sons, Michael Doty and wife Renda, of Bostic, and Peyton Doty and wife Janie, of Ellenboro. There are 4 grandchildren, Lisa Frazier and husband Randy, Chad Doty, Justin Doty, and Shea Doty; and 1 great grandchild, Peyton Frazier.
The Funeral will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Drury Dobbins Baptist Church. The Rev. George Whitmire and Rev. Chris Hensley will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Peyton Frazier, Randy Frazier, Justin Doty, Gary McDaniel, Billy Lee, and Bob Curtis.
The Visitation will be from 6 pm until 8 pm Wednesday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service.
