Hugh Hollifeld, 85

Mr. William Hugh Hollifield, 85, of Bostic, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015.
He was the widower of Margaret Sane Hollifield, who died in March, and son of the late James Clyde Hollifield and Beuna Gettys Hollifield. Hugh was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church, and was a Korean Army Veteran, and retired from Stonecutter after 40 years of service.
He is survived by two sons, David Hollifield and Terry Hollifield, both of the home; two brothers, Earl Hollifield and his wife Mary, of Bostic, and Howard Hollifield and his wife Mary Jane, of Ellenboro; two sisters, Sue Carpenter and her husband Elbert, of Tryon, and Mary Dodgen of Charlotte. There are several nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. The Rev. David Hawkins will officiate and Dwight Hollifield will provide a Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Sunshine United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Military Rites provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Pallbearers are Edgar Hollifield, Randy Hollifield, Richard Carpenter, Roger Hollifield, Steve Hollifield, and Tommy Hollifield.
The Visitation will be from 6pm until 8 pm Friday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service.
