Hubert Van Dyke, 89

Hubert Van Dyke, 89, of Golden Valley, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, August 7, 2021.
He was the widower of Pauline Brackett Van Dyke, and a son of the late Roy and Ellie Van Dyke. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, L.C. Van Dyke and Theodore Van Dyke; and his sisters, Kathleen Savino and Sarah Van Dyke Watts. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Hubert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and loved his nieces, nephews and his friends, and worried about them and prayed for them. He cherished his buddy "Bandit".
He is survived by his daughter, Carol Van Dyke of the home; his son, David Van Dyke and his wife Belinda of Golden Valley; 2 brothers, James Van Dyke and Charles Van Dyke, of Golden Valley; his grandchildren, Trey Van Dyke and Brooke, Noah Van Dyke and Courtney, Tyler Hoppes and Avery, Jon Hoppes and Katlyn, Shay Brown and Noah, Harley Hoppes and Zachary; his great grandchildren, Graylen, Easton, Jenson, River, Kinsley, Ava, Olivia, Auburn, Boone, McCoy, Brantley, MacKynzie, Ella, Lawson, Auna, and Naomi.
The Funeral will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Fairview Baptist Church. The Rev. David Ledford and the Rev. R.A. Brackett will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Trey Van Dyke, Noah Van Dyke, Jon Hoppes, Craig Hoppes, Jeffrey Willis, and David Brackett.
The Visitation will be from 5 pm until 7pm Friday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
