Gwen Wheeler Towery, 66

Gwen Wheeler Towery, 66, of Golden Valley, died Friday, December 8, 2023.

She was the daughter of the late Billy Ray Wheeler and Frankie Earley Wheeler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Courtney Cheyenne Towery. Gwen was a homemaker and a member of First Broad Baptist Church. 

She is survived by her husband, Keith Towery; her son, Christopher Thrift(Crystal Sisk) of Forest City; her daughter, Brandy Towery(Albert Hill) of Bostic; her sister, Terri Laws and her husband Freddie, of Forest City; her brother, Edward Wheeler and his wife Carol, of Florida; her grandchildren, Makinnia Hill and Ga'brelle Miller, of Bostic; a great grandchild, LaRainna J. Miller; there are a number of nieces and nephews. 

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Monday, December 11, 2023 at First Broad Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin Towery and Rev. Steve Chastain will officiate.

Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
