Guynell Green, 87

Guynell H. Green, 87, of Bostic, died Tuesday, November 26, 2024.

She was the widow of Gene Green, and a daughter of the late Clarence and Macy Horne. She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Gene Green; a son-in-law, Terry Crowe; and a sister, Geraldine Horne. Guynell retired from Parker-Hannafin, and was a volunteer at Bostic Lincoln Center. A faithful member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, she served there as a Sunday School Teacher.

She is survived by her daughters, LuAnn Green Swink and her husband Jeff, and Susan Green Crowe, of Bostic; her sons, Scott Green and his wife Darlene, and Larry Green, of Bostic; a daughter-in-law, Janie Green of Bostic; her sisters, Linda Roach and her husband Leon of Rutherfordton, and Joyce Crowder and her husband Hugh of Forest City; her brothers, John Horne and his wife Sarah of Spindale, Van Horne and his wife Sondra, of Rutherfordton, and Howard Horne of Bostic; her grandchildren, Jeremy Greene, Joey Greene and his wife Angela, Lacey Green Pope and her husband Coy, Brittany Pope and her husband Justin, Jessica Green Pruett and her husband Casey, and Victoria Green Harrison and her husband Dylan; her great grandchildren, Cody Greene and his wife Madison, Jake Pope, Turner Rose Pruett, and Tex Pruett; and a great great grandchild, Rayleigh Greene.

The Funeral will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. The Rev. Paul White Jr., and Dr. Marcus Benfield will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Jake Pope, Cody Greene, Coy Pope, Dylan Harrison, Casey Pruett, Justin Pope, Jeremy Greene, and Joey Greene; Honorary Pallbearer will be Tex Pruett. 

The Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until 1:45 pm Saturday at the church prior to the service.
