Gene "Rambo" Ramsey, 70
Mr. Gene "Rambo" Ramsey, 70, of Vanceboro, died Thursday, May 11, 2017 at his residence.
His mother, Vennie Lola Ramsey died in 2016. He had worked for Crawley Logging Company for 17 years and E's Trucking for 16 years.
He is survived by 2 sons, Ricky Gene Ramsey and wife Marsha, of Mooresboro, and Jamie Ramsey and wife Crystal, of Forest City; 3 granddaughters, Victoria Guffey, Brianna Ramsey, and Caitlin Ramsey; his cousin and best friend, Britt Philbeck and wife Susan; and special caregivers, Toby and Gail Eason of Vanceboro.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Hopewell Community Cemetery. The Rev. Perry Jones will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until 2 pm at the cemetery prior to the service.
