Frank Self, Jr., 82

Frank Self Jr., 82, of Sunshine, died Saturday, September 7, 2024.

He was the son of the late Cleatus Franklin Self Sr., and Omer Condrey Self. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Ray Self and Garry Fay Self; a sister, Dorothy Ledford; and a his beloved grandson, Cody Beaty. Frank was a dedicated member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church and retired from Stonecutter Mills after  40 years of service. 

He is survived by his daughters, Kim Beaty and her husband Jeff, and Amanda Allen and her husband Chad, all of Sunshine; a sister, Betty Biggerstaff of Summerville, SC; there are 4 grandchildren, Erica Bissontz, Travis Beaty, Hailie Bradley, and Jace Bradley; there are 4 great grandchildren, Brenett, Xander, Henry, and Emory. 

The Funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. The Rev. Steven Cooper will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers are Travis Beaty, Clint Green, Steve Rhoads, Steve Smith, Sammy Greene and David Waters. Honorary pallbearers are Greg Ledford, Arthur Blankenship, Bruce Hamrick, Clayton Self, David Green, Clifford Toney and Neil Ledford. 

The Visitation will be from 5 pm until 7 pm Tuesday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
